Lease of land for gardening: B rents for gardening (ana nukaribbūtiṣabātu) for 5 years 1;2 square kor (18,900 m2) of arable land (zēru) belonging to A1and A2. The rented land is located at the Oven Gate (bāb kīri) and borders the arable land of Bīt-Ilūtu-bāni above (elēnu) and beneath (šupālu) the street (harrānu). The tenant guarantees (pūtu našû) for the digging (herû) of the field after moistening (labku) of the soil, for the border (miṣru) and akkullātu-formation, for the watering (šaqû ša mê) of the land, for the guard (maṣṣartu) of the garden and for the digging of of the ditches (harru) and drain channels (ārittu). For 1 square kor of land they will enjoy (akālu) 5 kor of wages in dates (sissinnu). 2 witnesses and the scribe. B also guarantees against the cutting (hepû D-stem) of the date palms (gišimmaru) and against their decrease (kuppupu) and non-observance (šupšuhu).
